Office Tour

Entrance to our office

The entrance is designed to be pleasant and welcoming. The patient entrance is to the left while the staff entrance is to the right. The driveway which goes to the left is for handicap parking and staff parking only.

Office From the Top

This is the entrance from the upper parking lot, the access for handicap patients. This entrance gives you a flat access all the way from your parking spot to the chair, and if totally wheelchair bound, we have a place in the clinic, easily accessed, for a wheelchair to be parked and patients can be seen without leaving their chair.

Entering the Office

When you enter the office on your first visit, you will be greeted by the light and airy waiting room.To your right will be the reception desk, and straight ahead you will note the bookcase with our computerized check-in system.

Patient Check-In

The automated check-in system has a keypad in front of it. The computer screen is mounted inside the cabinet and directions are displayed on the counter. The computerized check-in lets us know in the clinic that you are here and waiting. It also displays why you are here, so that we can be prepared for your visit. With this system, we are able to check:

  • How long our patients are having to wait
  • How long our procedures are so we can plan our schedule to use the patient/office staff time efficiently
  • Documentation of our patients' visits
  • Our Pizitz school patients can check in and out themselves, and the documentation permits Pizitz to know for sure that the children arrive and departed on a timed schedule that can be turned in to the school.

Waiting Area

The waiting room was designed to be roomy and light. Note the sunflower theme throughout the office. This is in memory of Dr. Sarver's father who loved sunflowers because they always faced the sun. We have interesting magazines and books distributed throughout the office. Dr. Sarver constantly updates these books so that over the time period that you spend with us, you might find some of the books to be educational and interesting to you and your children. In addition to these materials, we have provided educational materials on orthodontics, mostly articles and books written and published by Dr. Sarver.

Waiting Area

A word about the waiting room. Parents, you do not have to stay in the waiting room! If you want to come back with your child during visits, you are absolutely welcome and encouraged to come back to the clinic. We have seating available if you wish to see what is going on during treatment.

Brushing Area

We provide an area for our patients to brush, floss, and clean their teeth before their appointment. This area has been carefully designed so that there are no counter spaces for used toothbrushes or material to be left on countertops. Everything must go into the trash. The pre-pasted disposable toothbrushes eliminate sharing toothpaste tubes between patients. The stand alone stainless steel sinks help control cross contamination. Also in this area is our television/VCR full of movies for the kids to watch while they are waiting on deck to be seen in the clinic.

Clinic Area

The clinic is an “open bay” concept. The open bay provides a warmer atmosphere and children are less afraid than the traditional dental setting where they are escorted to an enclosure all by themselves. We have music, conversation, and fun. As part of our effort to keep each step of the way as clean as possible, note each chair is covered with a disposable plastic cover, which is rotated out after each patient visit. The computer next to each chair is part of our office-wide information management system. We can display your chart, radiographs, photographs, treatment plan, and any piece of information that we feel we need at the time of you or your child’s visit.
