About Us

More than any dental specialty, orthodontics requires a team effort from everyone involved - parents, patient, orthodontist and staff. Many orthodontic problems are quite complex, involving the growth patterns of the face as well as misaligned teeth. Orthodontists have undergone 2-3 additional years of university-based postdoctoral residency training in order to learn the special skills required to manage the complexities of orthodontic treatment. Our practice uses the most advanced techniques available today, selecting the most effective methods and material for correcting individual problems.

For example, we have implemented digital x-ray equipment in our office which decreases x-ray exposure 40-70%. In addition, these images are available instantly and are transferable through electronic communication. As part of our radiography capabilities, we have just recently added the U.S. first "Focused Field" 3-dimensional x-ray machine. This leap in technology allows us to take 3-dimensional images just as a medical CT would but we can isolate the exposure to just the area we want to see, greatly reducing radiation exposure.

Our practice also is a forerunner in the use and development of Insignia-customized orthodontic appliances. With this technology we create virtual models of your child’s teeth, and can design the occlusion, or bite, as ideally as possible, and use the computer interface for smile design as well. Once we have designed the case, the braces are Cad Cam- engineered to you or your child’s specific needs. The result is a more efficient treatment experience.
