		This 11-year-old patient has a short lower facial height and deep labiomental sulcus.
		On smile, she showed only 80% of her maxillary incisors and had a slightly flat smile arc.
		She also had severe mandibular (jaw) deficiency and the lower lip was everted because of the diminished lower facial height and overjet.
		We used cervical headgear and fixed appliances in an unconventional manner to rotate the palatal plane and close the bite.
		Growth modification was successful in lengthening the face and greatly improving lower facial projection.
		She's now enjoying life with her new smile!
