	1. This patient had a severe class III malocclusion-an under bite. This case is chosen for you to see because it illustrates the interaction of the doctors, the use of technology for precise orthodontic and surgical planning, and how we involve the patient and in planning the desired result.
	2. The profile reflects the underlying skeletal problem - the under bite is due to insufficient maxillary growth. The upper jaw is significantly behind the lower jaw, thus the under bite.
	3. Our patient's face was also very long, and the prominence of the lower jaw in relation to the upper jaw results in the down turned appearance of the lips - a frown.
	4. The patient was born without upper lateral incisors. The cuspid teeth erupted into the space, and we decided with the dentist to reshape the cuspids to look like laterals, and after the bite is corrected, finish with some cosmetic dentistry to finalize the smile.
	5. The cuspid was reshaped quite a bit, by removing enamel the shape of the lateral.
	6. Integrated facial and radiographic planning of proposed jaw surgery. We planned with the oral and maxillofacial surgeon advancement of the deficient upper jaw, and the computer facilitates precision and visualization of this planning process. After we had determined the amount of jaw movement needed to correct the bite, we were also able to see the need to reduce chin prominence, and also the need to shorten the chin as well. Here you can see the outline of where the patients profile was before surgical correction, and the computer simulation of the face after the proposed surgical plan. We also included the expertise of a facial plastic surgeon for nasal contour changes as well.
	7. The bite was finished after surgery to normal overbite.
	8. The dentist (Dr. Rober Deshazer-Pell City, AL) finished the patients teeth with cosmetic bonding procedures to get the shades and tooth shapes idealized.
	9. The finished profile, with balanced jaw relationships and better chin relations.
	10. The frontal facial height was better after shortening of the chin. The rhinoplasty refined her midface, making it more elegant.
